How will I know if my custom scent will smell good on me?
Sometimes individual body chemistry can change the way that a fragrance smells on your skin. Stress, hormones, diet and certain medications can also affect your natural skin scent, and thus change how a fragrance smells on you. If you want to test how a fragrance may smell on your skin, we encourage you to choose some single notes by ordering some scent samples. Try layering each individual note on your skin to see what works for you.

Can you create a sample size of my custom scent?
Unfortunately, we can only mix one individual fragrance into each sample size, since the vials are petite. However, we encourage you to bring out your inner perfumer! Try some sample sizes from different scent categories and layer them on your skin to see how they might blend together.
How many scents should I mix together for my blend?
Any of our scents are fabulous on their own, so don't be afraid to try one single note for a simple fragrance. We suggest blending up to 3 different scents, and try to pick each note from a different fragrance family to give a layered effect to your fragrance. For example, Grapefruit from the FRESH family plus Honeysuckle from the FLORAL family, plus Sandalwood from the WOODSY family. But remember, you are the perfumer and you can make the rules! Just have fun and be creative.
What is a top note, middle note, and bottom note?
Think of this as the "story" of your scent. Top notes are generally light, citrusy scents that are the first essence you sense on your skin when applying a fragrance. We suggest a scent from our Fresh category for this note. The middle note will give body to your fragrance, and it is usually a Floral or Fruity scent. Finally, the bottom note will give some staying power and a memorable lingering tone to your scent. The bottom note tends to emerge about 20 minutes after perfume application, and is usually a woodsy or oriental tone, which is a heavier essence that lingers on the skin. We suggest a Woodsy or Foody essence for your bottom note.

How can I make my perfume last longer on my skin?
We suggest applying body lotion or cream prior to fragrance application, since perfume evaporates faster on dry skin. Create a Multivitamin Moisturizer, Organic Lotion, or Body Butter in the same scent so that you can layer your fragrance. Our Hair Refresher is also a perfect way to let your scent linger, since hair can hold scent a little longer than skin.
What's the difference between the Rollette Perfume, Eau de Parfum and Signature Glass Bottle?
Our Rollette Perfume is 1/3 ounce of pure fragrance oil, which will last long and wear true on your skin. The Rollette does not contain any alcohol, and some blends may contain an unscented Carrier Oil.
Eau de Parfum is between 15% - 20% fragrance oil, so you are getting a larger amount of fragrance versus an Eau de Toilette, which is usually between 5% - 10% fragrance oil. This is a spray and thus contains our very high quality perfumers alcohol.
Our Signature Glass Bottle is a collectible vanity bottle which comes with 1 ounce of Perfume Oil (no alcohol).
What is the shelf life of my custom blended product?
Although most Salud custom-blended products contain organic or natural ingredients, our products do have some preservatives to ensure product safety and the longest shelf life possible. We encourage you to use your custom-blended products within one year of the purchase date to ensure the freshest quality. Keep perfumes away from sunlight, heat and exposure to air whenever possible.
